This turnkey experience enables you to display specific details of nearby areas so that users can see ratings, comments, photos and directions without having to leave your web application. In addition, you can customise it to adapt it to your business.
Display local information with a simple and turnkey tool
Local Context combines the best of Maps, Routes and Places (the three large blocks of APIs from GMP) in one single experience. It allows customers to interact with data from Places and is easy to maintain. Furthermore, you can implement it with just a few lines of code.
Keep your customers interested in your website application
Offer your customers the experience of Google Maps that they are already familiar with directly on your web application, without the need to open a new tab or application. It allows customers to explore an area by clicking on pins or on a photo gallery that represents nearby places.

Help your customers to make fast decisions by only displaying the relevant place types. Select how many of each type and how many places in total you want to display on your map. Change the appearance of the map to match your web application. Customise the colours of the pins and place icons, and the position of the key elements of the user interface.
Offer a local data-rich experience
Allow your customers to view ratings, reviews, photos, prices, etc. simply by clicking on a pin or photo. In addition, you can display the estimated time of arrival for walking and directions to the points of interest when a customer clicks on a pin or photo.
